Non sono del tutto sicuro di come mi sento a presentarvi il mio nuovo cugino Enzo. F**k that let's stick to english!
I'm not entirely sure how I feel about introducing you to my new cousin Enzo, I'm not one to get jealous and I know that you're all going to be 'Ah how cute is he, I want to cuddle him' etc etc, but just remember he won't be small forever and I've got feelings too. As long as he learns his place in the pecking order we'll be fine, I'll try and pass on a little wisdom to him along the way as he grows up.
We first met him in May when he was just a few weeks old. He belongs to Max & Steph and apparently his dad Bruno is an Italian show dog who got stuck in England at the start of the Lockdown last year after appearing at Crufts. I think that his owner let him shag a few selected bitches to earn a few lira, including Gem, Enzo's mum. Enzo was born in Marlesford which is only a few miles up the road from us.
See, I told you. His expression is 'Get over yourself Rude boy' HUH! |
Lesson One - learn to pose, being italian that should come easy to him |
Plenty of room in there at the moment, just to give his size some context |
Ooops he's got one of mum's flip flops lol |
Away from Enzo we're having a battle of wills about me digging Strummer up, let's see how it plays out over the summer |
Recycle Steve's (dad) latest project he's making a new bar and coffee table for The Lockdown out of the old summer house |
An early morning trip to Shingle Street |
How obedient are we |
The smiling Martello Tower behind us |
Meanwhile the bar is taking shape, also notice the holes have been filled in around Strummer's grave |
Enzo wants to get involved |
'Hey boys there's a new Sheriff in town'. We'll see about that |
Thought I'd try his bed out |
So he tried Luther's |
The Bluebella are out in my wood |
Two sets of brothers, me an' Luth, Barney & Dexter |
Had a nice circular walk from Wherstead, although we went wrong on this part and ended up near the Orwell Bridge |
Sam came to visit for a few days |
He's back |
What's going on here? |
A new deck for The Lockdown |
F**kin' Luther's a real pain, always wants to play. He's dropped his blue ball right near the saw - Health & Safety would have a fit |
Now Enzo wants to get involved |
FFS Luther |
All done... |
... which meant more time for adventures |
Today's is from Campsea Ashe |
Loudham Hall |
In fairness it was pretty hot |
Swimming across the River Deben |
Rendlesham Church |
Back in Canpsea Ashe although the station sign says Wickham Market - you know you're in Suffolk! |
Shingle Street one of my favourite places |
Especially early in the morning |
We often have the whole place to ourselves |
what more could a dog want? |
Oi I hope you're not chewing our new deck! |
'Who me?' |
Enzo pops in to see us quite often, he's getting bigger |
Dan's Meadow |
Martlesham Creek |
I couldn't resist |
Opposite Kyson Point and Woodbridge |
Puppys and poppies |
This is how to seriously piss mum and dad off. They reported some kids playing in the pit when we were on a Saturday evening walk |
Whilst they were distracted me an' Luth decided to have a play ourselves, we didn't realise that that slurry was like cement! |
She's not happy |
Looks like we're in the shit |
Me getting a good hosing down, I have to admit it was a bit itchy |
Luther subdued he knows what's coming |
Better hurry up before he sets lol |
Blimey Enzo is growing, he's gonna be a big un' |
he's getting more confident as well |
Me showing him who's in charge by nicking his toy |
The Fun Boy Three |
Lockdown measures were easing by June, shops were opening up again, you could go inside pubs and restaurants and larger groups of people were allowed to mix indoors. Dad had been wanting to take us to London to visit Sam for ages.
We finally got to go before he moved to Bristol |
We drove from his place to Greenwich to start our walk, which was so different to anything we had done in ages |
Wow! Greenwich Park and Canary Wharf in the background |
The Greenwich Observatory. I found out that there's a line through here that separates the east from the west called the Greenwich Meridian and I also learnt that time starts here and about Greenwich Mean Time and time zones. Never mind all of that I was having a Greenwich fun time. You humans are far too clever! |
The Cutty Sark - blimey people used to sail around the world in that and bring cargo back? |
The River Thames - mmmm looks inviting |
Crikey we walked underneath it |
And ended up in this place called 'The Isle of Dogs' I thought that there might be lot's of out of control strays there but fear not |
The view of Greenwich from the other side of the river |
Canary Wharf |
F**k me look at that 'Rudie's Jerk Shack' lol. Shock, horror I didn't get to sample their delights - bastards |
We got the Thames Clipper back to Greenwich |
All humans had to wear masks on board the boat, I can't imagine wearing one myself, hopefully that Covid thingy will never spread to dogs |
Back on dry land and in the park |
I really had a great day in London the only disappointment (apart from not getting any Jerk) was not being allowed a swim in the Thames |
The Euro 2020 football tournament finally started in June 2021 exactly a year later. There was lot's of excitement in our house |
Dad even got a new flag made for it |
My woods are looking splendid in the sunshine |
I'll leave it there for now and next time I'll tell you about our last minute trip to scotland.
Lots of love from
Rudie THE Dog xx
