Uppa Tiles

Welcome back to my blog

Let's start with a team photo

How have you all been, did you enjoy the summer? I certainly did, I managed to do a bit of travelling, mainly in Ramavan. I'm sure you'd rather see my photos than listening to me rambling on though.

Obviously we've had trips to Shingle Street

FFS! Luther's in the bloody wars again

MOT time, I passed with flying colours (of course lol) but there was some concern about Luther and the vet wanted to do all sorts of tests on him. Mum and dad have left it for now as he shows no obvious symptoms of anything untoward. They likened the vets to Kwik Fit where you go in with a puncture and leave with four new tyres!

The first outing in Ramavan. Guess where we went? Cornwall obviously!

We stayed in Wiltshire on the way down there

Behind The Bell Inn Wylye

No swims for Rudie though

Luther walking underneath the A303

We slept in the van overnight, it was a bit snug, but hey sometimes you've got to make the small sacrifices

All set up in Cornwall at The Meadows Campsite Pentewan

We walked down through the woods to the beach only to find that dogs weren't allowed on there and that it's private

But the nice man in the pub gave me an' Luth some gammon pieces

Look there's that lovely beach

We had a walk along the coastal path to Mevagissey

Hello that beach looks tempting

Dog friendly Polstreath Beach

There were 191 steps down to the beach, mum counted them on the way back up!

At last we're swimming

What more could a boy want?

A very Cornish mural in Mevagissey

Mevagissey Harbour

Phew! we got a bus back, it was quite a tough walk, not to mention the swimming

Make yourself at home

We had a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms and rain on Friday so we went up to Crantock to pay the balance for the apartment we're renting for mum's big birthday later in the year. Can't wait to get on that beach!

The next day and the storm has passed

So we walked along the coast path in the opposite direction of Mevagissey to Hallane Beach

For a swim

That was a really hard walk for me - nearly eight miles and I'm starting to realise that I'm not the boy I used to be!

As for young gun Luther...

Uppa Ship!

Holiday treats

The concentration

After six nights in Pentewan we moved north to Bude on the other side of the coast to Wooda Farm Holiday Park which was really nice

Northcott Mouth Beach

Our kinda beach as it's dog friendly all year round

Anyone for tennis? We've lost our favourite ball

FFS! Talking of dog friendly beaches, we went to Summerleaze Beach in Bude only to find that we were not allowed off a lead. It was a hot day and we really wanted a swim

So it was a bus ride back to Wooda

Another hard day in the saddle for me. It was really hot when we walked from Bude to Widemouth Bay

A lovely walk though

We all know that dad loves a selfie!

I was absolutely f**ked when we got there and I was so relieved to cool down in the sea, although I struggled a bit on the slippery rocks!

The after lunch shot and all's good in the world

Friday night walk to The Preston Gate Inn, they had a live band and f**k me they were loud

Another walk down to Northcott Beach

The end of another Cornish holiday

Back to reality

Shingle Street with Enz

The View Point at Felixstowe

(Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay - Enz doing his best Otis Redding impersonation

FFS Ed Sheeran played three nights at Portman Road in July so we had to dress up as fans, we're wearing a pink duster lol

Back at Shingle Street

Possibly the biggest event of the summer was The Blacktiles reopening. It's been totally renovated after being closed for a few years and it's a nice walk for us boys

Blackberrying

That's all for now but I'll be back soon to let you know what I got up to during the rest of the summer
See you soon
Love from
Rudie THE Dog xx
