He's My Brother

Hooray! Brexit is all f**ked up again which means me an' Luth can go on another European tour. I'll be honest with you I didn't know if we'd be able to go a couple of months ago, with all of this blood tests bollocks for dogs being talked about.
I thought it best to get you up to speed with my life before I go!

Luther managed to cut his face in some bracken in my woods

For those of you that are asking 'What's growing in the field Rudie?' It's Linseed
Chiillin' in the yard

Keeping hydrated anyway possible

A quick impression of a Boxer

Swimming at Shingle Street

Ha ha those houses look like models

See that cottage behind us? John Lennon lives there! If you don't know what I'm talking about go and watch the film Yesterday

Post walk treats

Cor we had a real heatwave in July, it was so hot we were panting just sitting in the garden

It was so hot people were being told not to take their dogs for a walk! F**k that! We went over to Milsoms one afternoon and they gave us a bowl of iced water - classy, love that
Another day at Felixstowe and another big boat in

Our BIG news is that me an' Luth have teamed up for a joint Instagram account. We thought that we could do a story as we travel through Europe,  make sure you follow us and share our adventure
Our first two photos

The heather is starting to look pretty over at Martlesham
They're sitting outside so we crept in for a kip on the stairs

Tree fellows (well two actually)

Some of you already know, especially if you're following our new Instagram account (another plug there!) that when were down at Felixstowe a couple of weeks ago Luther had an accident when he collided with a Groyne at full pelt while chasing after a tennis ball, poor boy. You can watch the video below if you dare!

The day started well, an early morning walk and then a swim before breakfast
'Throw that ball' And then it all went wrong!
Luth's trying to put a brave face on after hobbling back up to the prom, but you can see he's not putting any weight on his leg

That certainly took the wind out of his sails and ended all of my fun!

He got cleaned up and we went for breakfast at the bus on the way home

comfort food

When we got home dad cleaned his wound up properly, that showed up how deep his cut really was
So a trip to the vet was required to staple his wound

That cone is a bloody nuisance

Learning to eat

And drink!

The poor boy was sick as his antibiotics didn't agree with him, who said Labs have tin stomachs?

Back for a check up three days later and more staples added

The vet suggested that we could put him in a T-shirt some of the time rather than his cone. That's one of dads running shirts - Luth would still be quicker than him even with an injury lol

Blimey I actually got taken to football to see the Labs, it was a preseason friendly at Mellis

Luther's feeling better

He's ready to play

Getting in and out of the kennel was a challenge

I had a go in the Cone - trust me I didn't like it!
Luther's a Jaffa lol
After two weeks Luther's wound was healing up nicely so we got a trip to Aldeburgh - except we picked the worst Monday of the year and the place was heaving with people there for the carnival & fireworks!

So we drove up the coast to Dunwich
Sam & Max came as well

Happy dogs

Hooray! All of the staples out and he's back in the game!

He looks a lot happier as well
There's not much more to tell you other that we're all good to go on our second European tour if you can't wait for my next blog then don't forget to follow our trip on instagram.
See you next time

Love from Rudie THE Dog xx

Okay we're ready
