Here I am back in no time at all with another blog for you.
I thought I'd tell you about the rest of my summer and get you up to speed ready for the upcoming Winter.
| We had three local getaway trips in Ramavan before the summer ended starting with a long weekend in Dunwich, which is only about 25 miles away |
| We're here somewhere lol |
| The campsite was right next to the beach |
| A couple of nosey f**kers. 'I wonder what they're having for tea'! |
| We were allowed to have Fire Pits on the campsite |
| I got as close as I could |
| Max, Steph, Enzo, Gran and Uncle Stephen came for a visit and we managed to slip away for a swim |
| And that was that |
| Apart from having another swim/walk before going home |
| Not too sure who Cliff Edge is or was?! |
| That boy loves a ball or a toy |
| Our next trip was to Southwold for four nights, it's only 30 miles away from home |
| Southwold Harbour |
| Teatime |
What a distinguished looking gentleman I am don't you think?
I haven't mentioned it before but I've got a voice to match my looks nowadays. My panting has got louder because my larynx has closed up which means that my bark sounds like an old man who has smoked too many woodbines. The vet told mum that they could possibly operate to open it up but I would never be able to go swimming again because of swallowing - f**k that!
 | | A pack of Woodbines |
| Walberswick just across the river |
| I don't quite know what kind of a campsite we went to? I thought it was alright until I noticed a pineapple on this car one day. Apparently it's a symbol for swingers to meet up, I can assure you that we didn't have any guests round at all and that mum and dad were both present every night lol! |
| We really enjoyed our few days away in Southwold |
| We went home via Covehithe |
| Another place being swept away into the North Sea |
| St Andrews Church |
| August Bank holiday at Blacktiles and I'm helping Freya feel comfortable around dogs |
| Although I did warn her that not all dogs are as friendly as me |
| Our final break of the year in Ramavan |
| Three nights in Reedham just across the border in Norfolk |
Our campsite was on the river Yare next to the Ferry Inn. We were going to walk to Berney Arms and catch a train back but I had a bit of a wobble after about a mile. I was really hot and mum and dad thought that I was on my way out! |
| Beer, cider and dog treats at The Ship in Reedham - everyone's happy and I made a miraculous recovery, although we didn't make it to Berney Inn. Oh well, next time |
| The Reedham Ferry, big enough for two cars |
| The next day was a bit cooler so we went for a walk along the Yare to Cantley |
| The Reedcutter - cor that's a rum ol' pub |
| We took the train back to Reedham |
| And that was that for the summer - no more yawning in the awning until next year! |
| A week later we were off again, this time by car, to Cornwall |
| Crantock Bay Apartments - no offense but it was a bit of an upgrade on Ramavan |
| We were there for mum's 60th birthday |
| Dining Alfresco |
| Cor homemade treats |
| Down on the beach |
There were ten people and five dogs in Crantock for the weekend.
| Mum wanted to play rounders |
And to fly a kite
| Here she is on her birthday with cake and champagne |
| Monday morning swim |
| 'I don't like Monday' |
| I do! |
Tuesday swim with the boys, Barney and Pippa at Polly Joke
| Goosed! |
| A walk across the Gannal Estuary to Newquay |
| It was windy at Pentire Head |
| And the rain came in |
| The Headland Hotel |
| We rounded off the day with fish & chips before getting a bus back to Crantock |
| Our last day on the beach |
| Enzo doing his best Ursula Andrews impersonation from Dr No lol |
| There were warnings of a rip current |
| And the red flags were on the beach |
| Not to worry we swam in the rock pools |
| Back home in my woods |
| We walked to Woodbridge on dad's birthday |
| Via Martlesham Creek |
| To watch Borussia Martlesham play Ipswich Python's |
| The Labs won 6-1 |
| For those of you who don't know or have forgotten I'm the OG team mascot |
| Making the most of another nice day in Suffolk |
| Chillin' in our kennel |
| Mr Enzo on a playdate |
| We went to stay with Enz & Steph the other weekend, Max was away so it was just us girls! She took us to the dog park on Sunday morning |
| Freya came along too |
That's us pretty much up to date. It's my 13th birthday this Friday (24th), can you believe I'm that old? I can't (most of the time)! I'm hoping for a decent walk and/or swim along with a nice cake on the day, it's not too much to ask for is it?
Until next time take care and I'll catch up with you soon
Lot's of love from Rudie THE Dog xx
