More From The Labratour

Welcome back to the tour. We'll resume in Zermatt where we stayed for a few days and I loved it.

What a view to wake up to

Another day trip up a swiss mountain, am I sounding ungrateful?
'Stay cool Trigger I think we've pulled'
Gornergrat 3090 metres above sea level and over 1400 metres above Zermatt on a cog railway - I've never felt so high before in my life!

Don't ever accuse me an' Luth' of being spoilt or mum and dad being soft! FFS

Come on Luth play the game

We took the train back down to Riffelalp and walked the rest of the way

Above Zermatt

Findelbach Bridge

We had a great few days in Zermatt but it was time to hit the road again

Back down to civilization

A 200 mile trip to St Moritz crossing several mountain passes

That's the Furka Pass behind us and take it from me there is a furkin lot of twists and turns driving through there

An overnighter in St Moritz

That view is not quite as good as looking at the Matterhorn

A swim in the aptly St Moritz Lake before heading to Italy

On the border, Switzerland left and Italy right

Here we are in Domaso ready for a swim in Lake Como
And some of that lovely Italian ice cream
Early morning walk
Happy birthday mum

The Funicolare in Como (they spell it differently in italian) Me and Luther weren't allowed on it unless we were muzzled, suffice we refused to go. Got to stand up for your bites!

She's happy

That river runs behind our apartments

Walking above Domaso

Don't jump
Luther wants to go in

So do I

As they say in Italian!
Don't tease Luth

You didn't really expect us to be good boys for three weeks did you?

Alley cats

Luther loves me

Goodbye Domaso
An early start for the trip back towards home. The first leg was about 350 miles including a small diversion into Liechtenstein
Followed by a swim in Lake Constance which borders Switzerland, Austria and Germany

We were in Austria

I think we deserved that

Lunchtime selfie

I thought that the Loch Ness Monster was in Scotland

We made it to Heidelberg. Five countries in one day, Italy, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria and Germany!

As with all trips to Europe we had to visit the vet for a Tape Worm treatment before being allowed back in to the UK

You Fräuleins know what you're doing?

The vetswas above a big pet store, look at some of the dog stuff they sell

A dog bakery

And a dog deli!

We had a couple of nights in Heidelberg which broke the return journey up nicely

Hunde wasser
A stop for lunch in Mönchengladbach on our way from Heidelberg to the Hook of Holland

Your life's not your own, we're settled in for the night and they're checking up on us from their cabin!

What a trip
I have to say that was a dog's bollock of a holiday, me and Luther must be the luckiest Labs in the world. On reflection I really shouldn't have sulked so much about my birthday kennel stay, am I too spoilt or just a miserable bastard?
I hope you all had a great Christmas and got lots of lovely presents. We’re away for the New Year so I’ll report back in 2020, I've still got to tell you about my trip to Yorkshire, what a time to be a Lab!

Love from Rudie THE Dog xx
