Blimey I am one lucky Labrador (well so's Luther actually). We got woken up early the other morning to discover that we were going on another holiday, I had seen some cases in the hall the previous night and assumed mum and dad were off somewhere without us.
Us boys are always ready for a trip, we just need to pack some grub and a lead each, they take shit loads |
Christ it's not even 6am |
We love a road trip this one's 320 miles up to the Lake District |
Breakfast stop up north at Ferrybridge Services on the A1/M62 junction |
We had a good run and arrived early so we went to Wigton to do some shopping |
Hooray we're here in Caldbeck |
First observation there's loads of sheep about |
Our first trip to the local |
The next day we drove to Braithwaite |
Don't ask me why but the next day they wanted to go to the seaside and have fish & chips |
So we drove o Maryport. Luther sitting on the uninspiring prom. That's Scotland in the background |
Look who came to see us for the weekend - Paul & Gail. We went on a circular walk from our house |
Stopped off at The Old Crown in Hesket Newmarket |
Nice and warm inside |
Bluebell woods |
We never miss an opportunity |
Back in Caldbeck |
Saturday morning and time to leave our house, the good news is we were staying in a pub for the night! |
Paul & Gail didn't though, they've just brought a camper van - this was their home for the night |
But first we're going on another adventure from Bowderstone to Rosthwaite, Grange and back |
Love it! |
Well after a busy day of walking, running and swimming it's time for some grub back at Chez Foster |
Meanwhile back in the pub. They didn't treat us by the way the tight gits! |
Our last day in the Lakes |
We were due to drive back but the weather had turned so nice that we decided to go on one last adventure |
A circular hill walk from Rosthwaite |
Cor the scenery is mental |
If you look carefully you'll see me in that bog lol! |
We're up the top of the mountain and there's a lake, they call them Tarns up north |
Lodore Falls |
Ah! |
Derwent Water in the background |
One last swim |
We ended up leaving Rosthwaite just before 5pm and got home at 10.30pm, to be honest I slept most of the way, I was knackered. I had such a great holiday and I know what a lucky boy I am.
What's next? you ask. Well if those wankers sort Brexit out in time I'll be going on another European tour. There's some shit about dogs having blood tests if we haven't got a deal, what's that all about? As if we're going to become poisonous overnight!

A dog's life is so much easier, we don't have all of this political bollocks. Vote Rudie that's what I say. |
See you soon
Lots of love from
Rudie THE Dog xx
