New Kid On The Block

Hi everyone
I'll start by wishing you all a Happy New Year, I hope that it's got off to a better start than mine! I feel that I have been betrayed!
Let's go back to the Sunday before Christmas. I went down to Bawdsey (which is across the water from Felixstowe Ferry, at the mouth of The River Deben) for a swim.
Pre-Christmas bath

We had stopped at Alderton on the way there and I got left in the car for about half an hour or so, I didn't think anything of it to be honest. When I found out later the reason for the stop I was fuming, upset, scared, it felt like my whole life was falling apart, they'd kept a secret from me.

We're, (they're) getting a puppy and I'm not happy about it! It pains me to show you this photo, look how happy mum looks, she was the same when I was a pup
See what I mean?

Anyway his name is Luther and he is my real brother, do you remember me telling you about the new editions in my last blog? I never thought that we'd end up with one, I hope they know what they're doing?

The charm factor -you can tell he's my brother by the way he's 'working' Max - mind you thats not hard!

He's not so impressed with dad lol!
I just don't know what the future holds for me? Will they still love me? Will I still be wanted? Will I still be top dog? I've got to put up with his crying, whinging, attention seeking, being a pain in the arse etc. One things for sure, he ain't having anything to do with my blog, oh no, he can f**k off!
I have calmed down a bit now that it's all sunk in and I have had a think about things and I've decided to give him a chance, after all us black brothers have got to stick together.

Here's a few pictures of my brothers and sisters

It's like Ipswich v Norwich with all of that yellow and green

I'm backing Luther to come out on top!

Sisters

There's Misty, my beautiful mum, I'm hoping to see her one day
So why did they call him Luther? Was it after

Luther Blissett, footballer who played for England, Watford and A.C. Milan, amongst others - a favourite of my mate Jimmy
No

Luther Vandross, singer, song writer & producer
No

Martin Luther King, led the U.S. Civil Rights Movement until he was assassinated in 1968

No

John Luther, fictional detective from the BBC drama starring Idris Elba
Yes, that's what he has got to live up to!

Anyway that's enough about him for now.

We went to see grandad Roy on Christmas morning to cheer him up, he doesn't get out much nowadays, but he did go to Uncle Ivan's for lunch

How many of those pressies are for me?

Cheer up gran it's Christmas!

Who needs presents when there is a Christmas dinner to eat! What shall I go for first?

Ah, so there is one for me

Playing on the green at Martlesham Heath, running off those Christmas carbs
Mum & dad had to fly off to Ireland just after Christmas to visit my grandad Ken, who had to have an emergency operation, thankfully he's on the mend now. Max was busy decorating his flat, but thankfully Mr & Mrs Scholar took me out with Monty and Ruth's horse Doug. I didn't have a clue where we were going
We ended up in Rendlesham Forest
Cor, that Doug's a big old boy - I wouldn't want to get stuck under him!
It's the first time that I've ever been out with a horse, I really enjoyed it, but I was absolutely f**ked afterwards! Thanks Mat & Ruth, hopefully we can go again? I think that I behaved myself?

We all went to help Max with a bit of decorating, I'm liking his flat and looking forward to staying there when it's all finished

It's coming along

See - I even done a bit of painting

My built in brush!

Back to reality in my woods

I nearly forgot to tell you that mum's got a new car, it'll never look this clean again!

So there we are, all up to date. I'll let you know how I get on with Luther, soon. Wish me luck!

Love from Rudie THE Dog xx
