Diamond Dogs

Week One in the Big Brother House

I'm sorry if I seem a little bit tired - I'm actually 'kin knackered! I've hardly had any peace and quiet all week, that little brother of mine won't leave me alone. Oh don't get me started about the first two nights that he was home, all he did was whine and cry. It was alright for mum and dad they were upstairs with their bedroom door shut and probably didn't hear a thing, where as I was laying right next to his crate.

Separation time! We collected Luther on Saturday morning after picking mum up from Aldeburgh, where she was staying on Tracey's surprise 50th birthday party. By the way, I still didn't get invited in to see my real mum Misty, although there is rumour of a family reunion at The Ramsholt Arms in the summer.

Luther's adventure starts

Our first meeting, mmm

I'm playing the uninterested part

Luther riding 'shotgun'

They tried to soften me up by taking me to East Lane for a swim. By the way mum was hungover, don't let on I told you!

He's already under my feet

So much for my swim we couldn't get near to the sea, which was very rough

Sea breeze

It's all too much

Here we go, spoiling him already

He's looking happy about it too!

Pet now going home

"Mr Goodlad" - for f**ks sake
At least I got some treats. Surely they should be Albuquerque Twisters though?

Time to check out the garden

Forget it mister, my crate days are long gone!

It didn't take him long to find the grub

Save me some

After lunch (of which I didn't get by the way) we went to Max's flat to check how the decorating was coming along

It's all too much - again

Max wanted to see Luther really, are you getting the theme yet? Luther, Luther, Luther!

Luther went back to sleep!
So that was our first day together, as I said earlier he cried all night, which I understand, up to a point, I can't remember being that much of a wuss when I first left home!
On Sunday dad took our first posed for picture together, which wasn't easy. I've learnt how to pose, in fact I really enjoy it and would one day like to be a model!

Can you tell that I had a sleepless night?

Now listen Luther, stay there until you hear the shutter, okay?

Good lad! This photo is called "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother"

Well done, off you go

Playtime, he's quite a spirited little f **ker in fairness to him

He's found his way to the kennel
On Monday dad saw me digging near Strummer's grave (again) and couldn't find Luther, he thought that perhaps I was burying him! He was actually asleep on an old coal bag between the fence and the coal bunker

More play fighting
And it's getting quite intense

He can give it back in fairness

It's a submission
"Dog food" In Vietnam they would probably like a tin of dog- eh Sam?

He will keep sleeping on my bed
A new recruit for grave digging
It's quite ironic that Joe Strummer was once a grave digger himself!

Trying to get him to pose again

That's better

He's on my bed again

Now I'm his f**kin' pillow!

On Friday afternoon we went to the vets for Luther's first jabs
We've got a new vets in Wickham Market, which means that I've got to go for an MOT in two weeks time when Luther has his second jab. He's not allowed out until then, which suits me, because at the moment I get a bit of "me" time in my woods

"Just a little prick!" Ha ha, he had his first vaccination and his identity chip injected. How come you lot don't get chipped? It would help you catch your criminals and terrorists!

Brothers in Arms
Me 'n' Luther are a couple of 'Diamond Dogs' and so was David Bowie! He got 'Bow-wow, woof woof, bow-wow,wow' into the lyrics of a song, so he must have been alright! He died the day after Luther came home. RIP
That's it for now, looks like life with Luther may not be as bad as I first thought, it's early days still though!

See you next time

Lots of love Rudie THE Dog xx
