Back In Da Hood

Hi everyone

You know that feeling, when you get back from a holiday, you go back to work and that nice relaxing mood that you felt just disappears? Well I don't! The advantages of being Rudie.

Back to familiar surroundings

In my wood
I love a sunny Friday evening, a walk through my wood, with a detour to Milsoms

Serving drinks in plastic and I thought that Milsoms was meant to be posh?

I'd love one of these, it would save me a lot of work!

I thought that I had better show you mums hanging baskets - she's very pleased with them this year

Enjoying a takeaway

Looks like I'll be having new neighbours then
I had a nice day out at Walberswick a couple of weeks after getting back from Cornwall

You've probably never heard of the place, I know that - I hadn't, but it's next to Southwold on the Suffolk coast

We had to stop off at  Revetts in Wickham Market on the way there - mum and dad were having a barbecue that evening and wanted to have Côte de Boeuf  like they did on holiday. Hope they remembered to bring a cool bag!

Oh no a map - I don't why they bother, the amount of wrong turns that they take!
I should offer to model for them - it could increase their business
Things didn't start off well for me and I got into a bit of trouble. We were walking along by the sand dunes and I was off my lead when I spotted a Cocker Spaniel bitch walking along with an old couple, she was quite tasty so I did what comes naturally and tried to do the business! Mum & dad were horrified - I don't understand why? Mum hid away, leaving dad to come and pull me off! He was embarrassed and put me on my lead, while the old couple were pampering their little girl, I heard the woman mumbling something about apologising. When we walked away the bloke shouted out in a posh voice 'Up yours!'
Suffice to say I wasn't very popular at that precise moment! Well you can't beat a bit of romance by the sea, in my opinion!

Walberswick beach with Southwold in the backgroud

Nice and clean and back in favour?

There were lot's of birds nesting in the marshes so I had to stay on a lead through there

Our circular route took us along the beach, through the marshes, into Walberswick, before heading towards Southwold and along the river bank back to our starting point

Ha ha - I just found a stream down there in the reeds

Talking of Côte de Boeuf

The River Blyth

Southwolds just the other side
There is a ferry across, although I could easily swim it

So because I went into that stream and got all muddy I got to go in the sea again, for a re-clean - happy days

Did you know that Walberswick held The British Open Crabbing Championship up until 2010? It no longer takes place due to it becoming too popular. Honestly, you lot and your competitions

Ice cream mmm

Here he comes at last

We took a detour to Dunwich on the way home so that they could have a beer at the Ship. Most of Dunwich got washed out to sea hundreds of years ago and apparently at low tide you can sometimes hear the church bells ringing - yeah I reckon!

They had their Côte de Boeuf on the barbie last night and saved me the bone

I've been predicting results again. This time it was the mens singles final at Wimbledon, Roger Federer v Novak Djokovic. Guess what...

I was right again! I'm 2 and 0 after my Champions League Final prediction

Getting a bit of shade in the bracken on Martlesham Heath

It's not all plain sailing for me
This is NannyHaze's plot at Seven Hills Crematorium. It's set in woodland and is one of these modern eco friendly places. Her ashes aren't in there yet - there at the Co-op! We're waiting until Granddad dies so that they can be buried together. Me? I'm hoping to be buried with Strummer and as many of you know I'm slowly digging my own grave next to him in the garden! Hopefully I'll be around for a lot longer,.

It's like an audition for Strictly Come Dancing - you never who you're going to meet in the woods
#holdtyt

'You wrong fa dat, I aint ridin' in no trunk bitch!'

Sorry I don't know what came over me - it must have been the wearing of that hat!

Anyway my homies now wearing it

Ramsholt for a Sunday afternoon swim

Oh dear the tide's out

This mud is hard work

The Ramsholt Arms in the background

One muddy dog!

She loves me

Afternoon beers - for them
I know that the summer is coming towards the end because football's back on the agenda already, so I had better make the most of things, while I've still got the chance too.

Can you see that  small white ball at the top of the photo?

There - it's a wasps nest, ask me how I know? Because I stuck my snout in it and was then attacked by hundreds of the little bastards! Mum, bless her helped to beat them off me, I don't mind telling you I was a bit scared. This happened early on a Saturday morning, I was in shock but it didn't stop them pissing off to Brentford for the day, for the first game of the season, leaving me on my own. By the way the photos were taken a couple of days later when I was brave enough to go back near the nest

Another takeaway

Even Borussia Martlesham have started playing again

So there's a new film about a hip hop group, N.W.A. from California, called Straight Outta Compton...
Max thought it was funny to download the the template and put my photo in it. Makes me a NWA dawg!
That's me up to date for now, no doubt the weather will have turned cooler and the nights will have drawn in by the next time I write a blog? I'm such a joyful boy!

Love from

Rudie The Dog xx
