Broken Promises? Not This Time

Welcome back to my blog, as promised last time I'm going to get you right up to date, starting off with my last proper holiday of the year, another road trip to Cornwall via Bristol in Ramavan.

Here we go again

First stop Bristol and a train ride to Severn Beach and the first swim of the holiday?

The only problem was that it started to rain as we left Temple Meads and by the time we got there it was pissing down

So we stayed on the train and headed back towards Bristol - what a bummer

Breakfast on Monday morning before heading down to Cornwall

'On the route of the 19 bus'. A stop off at Sainsburys in Barnstaple for a photo and some shopping - Rudie Can't Fail!

First stop in Cornwall was at Crantock, cor what a beach

Our campsite is at the top of the hill in the background

Blimey dad came in for as swim

Crantock beach and Newquay on the right

We had a walk there by crossing The Gannel Estuary at low tide on the footbridge

The view over to Crantock from Newquay

The Headland Hotel as seen in the film The Witches

Flappy ears

A day trip to St Austell

Sam brought mum & dad tickets for a St Austell Brewery tour there but in the end only dad did it as me an Luth weren't allowed

Hello 'Rudi's Message' that might be interesting

We liked the Jam Jar Kitchen in Crantock, they gave us treats and scraps

It was mum's birthday so we took her for a walk around the coastal path to Polly Joke

Our last day in Crantock

After a walk around the estuary we ended up at the Old Albion Inn for some live music

We certainly had a mixed bag of weather in Crantock. It started off lovely and sunny, then on Thursday stormy weather arrived with the wind and rain nearly blowing our awning away - with me an' Luth inside it! The rest of the week was a bit dull and showery. Let's hope for better weather in Gwithian for part two.

Luther the Tractor Boy

We stopped off at Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm, home of the Cornish Rattler on the way to Gwythian

The new set up with some blue sky

Another great beach

Uppa Towan!

Yep we like it here

The next day was a bit miserable

We walked all the way along the beach from Gwithian to Hayle

A selfie with The Godrevy Lighthouse

Mmmmm Cornish Ice Cream

Hooray the sun has come back

Love it

Our last day before heading home. Part of the reason for going to Gwithian was so that mum could go to her friend Nadene's funeral in nearby Camborne. Mum liked to go and see her when we were in Cornwall, we'll all miss visiting her in the future

Back home and our football shirt photos are on display in The Lockdown

We were going to come home via Brighton on the way back from Cornwall but the weather forecast wasn't very good so we didn't bother. The following week there were two sunny days forecast for Norfolk so we decided to have one last trip in Ramavan and stay on the beach at Walcott.

Guess what? It was cloudy and cool when we got there FFS!

I know I always say this but we were that bothered, a swim, a beach and a ball is all we need to be happy

Dinner time

Thankfully the next day was a lot better, warm and sunny, so we walked to Happisburgh and back

Clean me! Back in Suffolk and a trip to Shingle Street with Enz

We found a great stick on the beach

Apparently you can't beat a bit of shitty water!

A new walk along the River Stour near Stutton

Coastal erosion
Another swim, this time at Felixstowe

Oh good some leftover chips

Here it is - the day that you've all been waiting for

My 12th birthday

And where better to spend it than sunny Shingle Street with my little brother and best friend Mr Enzo

Who was on good form!

I had a helluva good day

Swimming

chewing

Contemplating life

And posing

Here's the map of our walk around Shingle Street and the marshes - one of my favourites

I got a new lead again this year, the last one didn't wear very well

And mum made me a ginger cake and brought some new candles for it

As usual it was lovely

Cor I needed an afternoon nap after all that fun

Going head to head

If you go down to my woods today...

We were actually on our way for a Remembrance Day photo shoot at the Control Tower at Martlesham

It all turned bad though. Mum was watching on with Enzo while dad was taking our photo, when all of a sudden he darted off towards a little kid riding on a bike dragging her over in the process, she was not happy to put it mildly so we abandoned the shoot and he walked home with his tail between his legs!

A few days later we managed to get the photos done

Hello what's going on here?

Dad's building an outside wooden Christmas Tree based on one that we saw in Cornwall

Luther as per normal wants to play

I found somewhere for a nap

It's coming along

Me an' Luth did get a photo at the Control Tower on Remembrance Day

He's still trying bless him

We had a swim with Maisy at Shingle Street

Winter is nearly here and so are nights by the fire

Happy 9th birthday Luther, he got a new lead the same as mine

Enz came over for a play

Cor mum made Luth a Lemon Drizzle birthday cake

It was lovely, no surprise's there

The next day we went to Sizewell with Maisy for a swim

Back in my woods

Brrrr the first frost of the winter

Thawing out in the winter sun

We went to see the new Ed Sheeran mural in Ipswich near to the football ground, you can just make us out at the bottom

Lol

The tree's all done

At last I'm all up to date now so I can chill out and look forward to Christmas.
I might do one more blog before the end of the year but if I forget I hope you have a great Christmas and New Year.
Thanks for taking the time to read another blog.

Lots of love from
