We got back from Scotland at the end of June just as the Euro's were getting into the knockout stage and the place was buzzing. If I've learnt one thing from life and that's whether it's the Euro's or the World Cup England are going to win it, mmmm!
It wasn't long before Enzo came to visit
He's learnt to drink from a watering can
And he loves a chew, as do all puppies
He's also coming out for walks with us now that he's getting bigger
Happy boys at Martlesham
We've also met up with Barney & Dexter
Getting ready for the knock-out stage of the Euro's
Summertime in Suffolk, Aldeburgh to Thorpness walk
A Cairn has been built on Thorpeness beach
Enzo met us in Aldeburgh, he's not up to six miles yet
Dad's latest project, a new outside table
F**k me Enz, we'll have no watering cans left at this rate!
A walk from Sizewell and a warning of Adders
Coastguard cottages Dunwich Heath
The natives don't want another nuclear power station
My default position
but is it?
Finishing the walk with another swim and a rest at Sizewell
And so we got to July 11th. England were in the Euro Final against Italy and it was time to let the nation know who would win. I went first
Then Luther
Enzo joined in too, half English and half Italian he didn't care who won
Here's the video that broke every englishman's heart, Dad was gutted filming it, he even wanted to film it again to hopefully get a different outcome! Sorry but sometimes you just can't change the course of history. Suffice to say that Monday was a very subdued, but we did manage to get fed and walked
Another walk from Sizewell, this time to Thorpeness
Elephants Ears planted in another attempt to stop me digging Strummer up
Walberswick to Dunwich
Another anti Sizewell C poster
And back along the beach
Plenty of swimming which was great on a hot day
Do you remember back in March the Ever Given container ship blocking the Suez Canal?
It took six days to free it, we weren't really there by the way!
Finally on the 3rd of August it made it to Felixstowe, four months late
we went down to see it arrive
That really is us!
On the UFO trail in Rendlesham with Paul & Gail
That's not a real UFO or is it?!
Nice set up
Two things to note. One I've been digging lol and Two what's that plastic bag?
It was a loaf of fruit bread that we nicked from the kitchen, we got a bollocking but we don't look like we care do we? Lol
Taking Enzo for an early morning swim at Shingle Street
Will he? won't he? He Didn't
Another try without success, he likes a paddle though
After the walk we went back for another try
Again no success!
He had a nice time though
Back home in time for breakfast
That's it for now, we're getting through the summer and it's been good so far. Next time I'll tell you about our trip to visit Sam in Bristol following his move there from London
