Winter Blues? Not Me

Hi everyone and a happy if not belated new year to you all.
What's been going on Rudie? I hear you ask.
Well I don't want to speak too soon but we've had a very mild winter down here in Suffolk, hardly any snow to speak off and not too many hard frosts either, so no excuses not to have the odd day out.

It's not been all play either, we've been making a new kennel to put in Max & Steph's garden for when we go to stay there, more of that later

It's based on our 'home kennel'

You've got to smile!
One of the nice things about living in Suffolk is that you can go to the beach in winter and more or less have it to yourself

This is Shingle Street at the end of October. How long before that bungalow gets washed into the sea I wonder?

F**k me 6 already!
I'm in my prime
Cor look mum's made me a Lemon Drizzle cake, Luther looks like he's not allowed any
But he was
As usual we wore our poppies with pride on Remembrance Sunday

It's coming along! Unfortunately it wasn't ready for our first week away at Chez Goring.

Funny story, mum and dad went to Portugal for a week in November and after making Max and Steph's garden secure (so they thought) left us with them. Happy days! The first afternoon away dad got a phone call asking him if he had a dog called Luther? He had escaped from the back of the garden and ended up in the road behind where somebody had taken him in. Sam collected him and brought him back. So the rest of the week we were left indoors when there was nobody at home, suffice to say that we had won round one! #thegreatescape

Butter wouldn't melt

He's not alone!

Ahhh mummy made him a cake

And I got some too!
Early December and a trip to Aldeburgh

At last our holiday kennel is complete

Christmas

Christmas morning swim at Felixstowe

Mum and dad went to see grandad and grandma in Ireland for the New Year so we stayed at Max and Steph's in Goring Road with the new dog anti escape improvements. Ha ha we still managed to find a way through one night though, admittedly we got caught this time but still managed to really piss everybody off, round two to us! #thegreatescape
Happy New Year from my woods

January swim at Felixstowe View Point

Penny for your Fort

I told you the winter was nice

Ufford on a frosty January morning

Meanwhile in my woods this is the only snow we've had all winter and it's the end of January

A frosty Shingle Street where the beach was frozen

The Final Solution - how ironic in Goring Road!

They came up with idea of making us a nice secure escape proof area at the bottom of the garden

All done. Let's see how this goes! We had a test sleepover the other day and managed to open the gate! round three to us although I fear it may be a shallow victory #thegreatescape
We've christened it 'Camp America' due to our stay here in the summer when mum and dad go off to California
We went for our annual MOT and I'm pleased to say we both passed
Spring is nearly here which means...
the new Speedway season will soon be starting
We want a road trip!
Look at this. I found out the other day that we have become uncles, these lot were the work of one of one of our brothers from Luther's litter

I'm afraid I'm going to end this blog on a sad note. Since I started my dog blog I've built up a large fan base who read and hopefully enjoy my adventures. Probably the biggest was Auntie Kay who always added a comment and a kiss at the end of each post. I never met her and although I'm a well travelled dog I've never been to Australia, apparently it's the other side of the world from England.
Unfortunately she passed away at the end of January, Me and Luther would like to send our canine condolences to all of her family. RIP xx
