My Winter Wonderland

The Winter is usually very boring if you're a dog, short days and shit weather. However 2018 has started a little more interesting than past years.

Before we get started I thought you might like to see mine an" Luth's calendar
We might not have got much for Christmas but in January we got new beds and bowls

I bet they were in the sale!
The big garden news is that dad's going to build us a new deck for the summer. Two of our trees getting felled in February because they're starting to rot, that Beech tree in the corner is one of them 🌳
First things first getting rid of the Holly bush stump
As usual Luther was a pain in the arse as he kept on dropping his Kong in the roots, holding up progress

It's coming along

F**k! - Storm Fionn saved the lumberjacks felling the Beech! 💨

All they had to do was cut it up

What really pissed me off was that we had to stay in doors while they were working and were only allowed out for bathroom breaks with the fences down it would have been an ideal time to checkout the surrounding gardens

Someone's going to be busy logging this lot up

All cleared up and ready for a new fence
The new fence is up and we're allowed back outside👍

It ain't hearth hot mum! 🔥

See what I mean about Luther being a pain in the arse?
He kept on dropping his kong down the hole where the new gate post was going

Away from the garden, we went out to 'Old' Felixstowe with Barney - he's growing up to be a good ol" boy

Haha we managed to find a stream

We were a bit muddy so we got an added bonus - a swim in the sea 🌊

Not sure if Barney liked it or not!

Back to our roots in my wood
Mum and dad cleared off on holiday in February so we had carers move in to look after us. First up was Sam who having only just moved out came back to stay for a week and then it was Max and Steph's turn. I'm not one to tell tales but Luther has been going through a bad spell, for example he twice broke into Steph's bag and ate her Slimfast (neither of them need it by the way).

Kelly also came to stay for a couple of nights, to be honest there were so many people wanting to get in on the action we could of had a party every night. Schhhhhh!!!

Max and steph took us down to Ramsholt for lunch and a swim
Well they had the lunch, we just watched
Luth didn't get any better when mum and dad got home! Look, he's just jumped up on the side looking for scraps and smashed a plate, he also helped himself to a plate of sandwiches from the kitchen the other day ffs 🥪
So while mum and dad were away we found out that it was the Chinese New Year on February 16th (why don't all New Years start on January 1st? You lot really do complicate things) Each year a different zodiac animal is represented, this year it's 'The Year Of The Dog' - I'm sticking to the original plan where every year is 'The Year Of The Dog' 🐶
The tree surgeons returned at the end of February and cut down the Chestnut tree which was next to our kennel. They left the stump and calved out a seat  for us (I call it my throne).

Move over Luther and let the king sit down 👑

After Storm Fionn in January we got 'The Beast From The East' at the end of February into the start of March. It started with strong icy winds coming in from Russia ❄️💨🌊
FFS - he thinks he's one of us!
It might have been freezing cold but it didn't stop us from swimming

Our default winter position
Then it snowed! 🌨
Which was great fun for us 👍

Obviously we had to have few photos taken 📷

More snow and more fun 🌨❄️

Another day and even more snow
The sun rising in my wood

Not much traffic out on the road this morning 🚙🚗🚓🚑🚌🚚🚛

We managed to get to the vets in Wickham Market for our MOT's. You'll be pleased to know that we both passed although I've got to go back and have a tooth out and Luther got told that he's too skinny so no need for Slimfast!

Don't think that there will be any games played this weekend ⚽️
You'll be pleased to know that the snow has all gone now and we survived, sorry for all of the snow photos - we don't get snow very often in Suffolk.
Now we can look forward to the Spring. Catch up with you all soon.

Lots of love from

Rudie THE Dog xx
