All Set For Somer

Hi everyone

Me an' Luth have just had a brilliant holiday - I want to tell you all about and show you my photos, hopefully you won't get bored!

There wasn't a lot of room in the back of the car when we left home at silly am. Sam came with us, but only as far as Stansted Airport, he was flying off to Ireland to see Grandad and Grandma. It was the first time that I'd seen an airport, to be honest I wasn't that impressed, I doubt I'll ever fly!
We said our goodbyes and headed to Somerset, the first destination of our holiday. There was a brief 'comfort break' at Fleet Services...
followed by breakfast
We arrived mid-morning at The Kings Arms in Montacute where we were staying for two nights

It was a working holiday for Mum so she went off and left us to our own devices. We went for a walk above Montacute and found this old tower...
which we went to the top of

There's Montacute House in the background
We went down to have a look at it, guess what? No dogs allowed inside! There were quite a lot of people painting pctures of it  I don't know why they just don't take a photo, it'd be a lot quicker!

There were loads of sheep in the grounds, so we had to stay on our leads, apart from being trusted not to go after them while dad took aour photo
We found another pub in the village, but when we went in there they were closing it was only 2pm!
So went went back to our pub for a drink
and a chill out
It was the theme for the rest of the day, we both fell asleep while mum and dad were having their dinner
The next day we went to Glastonbury - where they have the music festival.
It makes me laugh how over 100,000 people live in tents in a muddy field for five days, just so that they can listen to live music.
I bet they wouldn't fancy camping in the Jungle in Calais, I've been past it and you wouldn't catch me anywhere near there!

The town was full of weird people, I'm sure they all thought that they were druids or witches, probably all on drugs! We left them to it and walked up to Glastonbury Tor

The first selfie of the holiday
and the second!

Here's the result on Instagram - don't forget to check us out on there, I'm 'sirharrymaximillion' and Luther is 'rootintootinshootin'

We stopped off at Wells Cathedral on the way back - did you know that Wells is the smallest city in England?

Friday night stroll down to the Phelps Arms
 luckily it was open
Abandoned
The next morning we all went back down to Montacute House so that dad could do a 'Park Run'

They're 5k races which are held all over the country at 9am on a Saturday morning. I noticed a few dogs running it on leads, I wonder if dad will ever take me? Imagine if I stopped for a poo half way round and he had to pick it up and run with it to the finish!!
So after his run we had breakfast and headed to Cornwall, which I'll tell you about next time. I bet you can't wait!

Just to prove that we're good boys - that was the owner said about us on tripadvisor!

Love from Rudie THE Dog xx
