There's A Spring In My Step

Hi everyone

I'm pleased to report that winter is now a thing of the past, the nights are pulling out and I'm spending more time outside. At last I can now look forward to some nice outings again.

On the subject of outings mum & dad pissed off to France for a few days leaving me with Max again. This is what they brought me back - a baguette with cheese, ham & tomato. They probably packed up too much and thought that they could offload it on me as a present - mind you it was nice!
Easter at Felixstowe

A bit of competition in the pool!

Who needs Easter Eggs?

The clocks have now changed to British Summer Time and the nights are really pulling out so now I can even get a decent Friday night walk. Why you need to change the time? All I noticed was that it felt like I was getting fed at 7pm instead of 6pm. You humans never cease to amaze me!
That's Seckford Hall behind me,which is near to Woodbridge. It's a bit of a posh hotel & restaurant nowadays. Apparently Margaret Thatcher, who was some sort of an Iron Lady used to stay there, was she in a circus? Inside the hall they've got the chair that King Henry VII died on. I wonder if they'll want my basket one day?
In with the Daffodils

Is that a pheasant over there? Don't ask!

Well they ought to hurry up!
It was the weekend of The Masters golf in Augusta, I wonder if any of the members here were playing in it?

Lord of the manor

So they had a hidden agenda!  Walk and then beer, in the newly opened garden at The Cherry Tree in Woodbridge.

The good life - Monday morning sunshine and the bone from Sundays leg of lamb

We had a board outside the front of the house promoting the Kesgrave 5k run. Dad was going to do until he realised that it clashed with a Borussia Martlesham game - bloody football

On the subject of football, we had a nice early morning walk in my woods the other Friday which I thought was a odd
When we got home I hardy had time to eat my breakfast before I was put in the car and taken to the kennels! I found out later that they were all off to Germany with the football club for the weekend to watch Borussia Dortmund
The welcoming committee

It's been a while since I was at the kennels

It's a bit alarming that they don't know what kind of van they've got - it's clearly not a Ford

Back home after being abandoned, they tried to get round me with a treat but I pretended that I didn't want it - for about thirty seconds
Another enjoyable Friday evening outing for me, going back to my roots - I was born just up the road from The Ramsholt Arms

"Hurry up and take that f**kin' picture, I want to get in the river"

Diving in off the jetty was fun...

for him...

and her

Mind you I loved it too!

Just checking out a couple of the locals

Nani

I'm afraid to say that this blog may not be very exciting, it's winter time and I haven't really done a lot wrong!

Just warming my paws by the fire! It's great after a Sunday walk, that and a roast dinner - happy days

The winter here has been quite mild to be honest, this is about much snow as we've had.

I can't wait for the spring to arrive, every second counts when the light's going. A few times dad has had to get pick me up after work in the van and take me to the woods before it got too dark. I'd rather do that than walk around Grange Farm on  a lead

Weekends have been my best chance of a decent walk

This one was between Martlesham and Waldringfield

Mum thought that it would be funny to put me in the back of that pick-up truck. Does she think that I'm some kind of a hick?
Now that's what I call a play pit

That's the BT research centre in the background, I have shown you pictures of that before

What time does the tide come in?

There's usually a hidden agenda involved in my walks, especially during the winter. Today it was The Holeshot Cafe for breakfast - for them. I had to wait in the car and they didn't even save me anything, the greedy b*****ds
I've been trying to dig my way out under the back gate recently, It's been the only place left to try since the Great Escape!

Another plan foiled

Back to the drawing board then - the look of a beaten dog? No doubt I'll get my revenge
We had some very sad news in February, Nanny Haze died after a short illness. She was dad's mum and was only twelve days short of her eightieth birthday.
It's at times like these that us dogs step up to the plate, there was obviously a lot of upset in the house, I pretended that I didn't know what was going on, but I was there to listen and comfort them when needed. Oh and I made sure that I behaved myself!

Oops - wrong Nani! He's the one who use to play for Man Utd! Max always called nanny, Nani after him, which always made her laugh. We all like a pet name, don't we? I've got loads of them

There's us the first time we met, I'm getting a right old look over! Nanny often brought me a little treat, hint hint. She often asked dad how I was, although she would then tell him that Sheppy was her favourite dog! He was mum & dad's first dog a Border Collie that they inherited from Aunty Rachel when she went to Florida
In other news - what the f**k is going on here? They've started parking these big diggers across the entrance to my woods! At first I thought that it was to keep me out, but I think it's to stop people nicking stuff from the pit which is behind my woods. There's a question, why can't you lot leave each others stuff alone?

Revenge - I thought I'd have a chew on these decking lights!

Look whose back in town - old blue eyes! Sam flew back from Vietnam for nanny's funeral, she would have liked that, four of her grand children there - I wasn't allowed to go

He thinks that he's being funny giving me beer - the prat

They're still parking them diggers there, every night and all weekend, I suppose it also stops people going dogging or doing drug deals down there. By the way, what is dogging? My my, I am asking a lot of questions!

F**k me, or should I say, buck me? Imagine what sort of holes I could dig if I could drive one of these!

Although I wasn't allowed to go to nanny's funeral I got to see her flowers

At last it's warming up
I quite like a run around the heath next to Tesco's. By the way their in trouble! Too many other supermarkets about apparently
That's another blog done for you, I'll be back with more wisdom soon!
